Leaving is designed so that your members are never punished for it, and so that a change of mind within a few weeks costs you nothing.
What happens when you uninstall the app
The moment the StickyTier app is uninstalled from your Shopify store:
- Your subscription ends; nothing more is charged.
- Members are untouched. Balances stay whole and visible; the rewards page keeps working.
- Two clocks start.

Reinstalling before day 90 stops both clocks and reconnects the store to the same programme. Before day 30 that means everyone is exactly as they were; between day 30 and day 90 the balances and rules are there but members' contact details are gone.
Two things also stop the clocks: a live subscription, and a connected store. A programme that never had a Shopify store is never deleted automatically.
Before you go
Take your exports while you can. On Advanced → Finance: Download full history (CSV) for the complete ledger, plus Export members and Export referrals. Export files are among the first things removed at day 30.
Tell your members. StickyTier sends no email on your behalf when a programme closes, and once the programme is deleted its rewards page returns a plain "not found".
Deleting everything now
If you do not want to wait 90 days — a data-protection request, or simply wanting a clean end — contact support and ask for immediate deletion. A StickyTier superadmin does it from the staff console: it requires the store to be uninstalled and the subscription cancelled first, the business name typed exactly, a reason, and a fresh sign-in. It is permanent and immediate: members, balances, the full ledger, rules, rewards, the audit trail and team access all go. Nightly backups age out on their own schedule.
Pausing instead of leaving
If you need to stop earning and spending without leaving, use the Emergency stop under Settings → Programme rules. It pauses everything at once, members see a branded "paused for now" page, nothing is lost, and you resume with one button. See Redemption controls.
A member who wants to be forgotten
That is separate from closing the programme and needs no action from you: Shopify's data request and redaction webhooks are handled automatically. A data request is emailed to the programme owner as a file to pass on; a redaction anonymises that member while their points history stays whole. See Members & privacy.
